That's three paragraphs of text just to explain this one street sign, so you can imagine trying to decipher this while cars are whizzing past and then the anxiety after you walk away from your car, unsure if you've just broken one of five different parking laws.

You can also park there for free for four hours on the weekend, from 12:30pm to 5:30pm, and there's paid parking for four hours every day between 5:30–10pm.

After looking back at it, we figured out that it was a clearway from 6–10am Monday to Friday, but you could park there for one hour with a free ticket 10am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday and 8:30am to 12:30pm on Saturday to Sunday.

Sydney is not the only city with a parking sign problem. Melbourne's CBD and surrounds have also been criticised due to their overly complicated parking signage.
