On December 17th 2008 four 17 year old boys were found dead in their car at an abandoned farm, 10 miles from their hometown. This video contains the unedited footage from the camera belonging to one of the boys, also found in the car.

Not actually scary, but there is commitment here. You can’t see anything for the majority which is perfect, the mask guy makes it kind of stupid but there’s good stuff in here. Jack jenson, if he hasn’t already seen it, should take some notes.
Absolute banger YouTube horror series. Surprised I'd never seen it before but very impressive how it's still effective over a decade later. Part 4 is what really set it apart from other online analog horror projects for me.

I know that all four segments of this web series are listed separately on Letterboxd, but I'd rather just go ahead and review the series as a whole so I'm gonna do that here.

While watching this now doesn't yield the same results as back then, you have to give it up to the creativity of this group of young men, I mean they really fooled the Internet for awhile there.
The passionate screaming and pain coming from their voices adds some authenticity that a lot of found-footage lacks and adds a whole extra layer of discomfort to this film.
The up-front horror and scares don’t work as well as the absolutely oppressive dark night and eeriness of the desolate road, but I think they know that.

My favorite horror short film of all time. The acting in this feels so raw and realistic. If you got 10 minutes to kill I can't recommend this short enough, and if you have more time to kill after that, binge the entire series.

Underrated 2000s found footage horror gem. Interesting concept executed pretty well, feels mostly real and grounded. The virtually non-existent budget genuinely enhances the film.
N.T.R EPISODE 1 THOUGHTS:Extremely well done. It’s very inspiring to see teens make such an impactful short film with such an eerily simple concept. This was one of the first short films I’ve seen recently that genuinely scared me.

It’s quite eerie honestly, even though it’s acting. The low budget and low quality camera makes this wayy more authentic then any other found footage films I’ve seen.
No Through Road really takes me back to being a naive preteen on the Internet, watching many obscure found footage horror videos late at night on YouTube, ones that everyone thought just had to be real. It's almost like the Slenderman craze except this precedes even that.
